BUR Holder-RECTANGULAR
These handy bur holders help you organize your many different grinding and polishing tools such as carbide burs, and diamond burs. The design of the holder was inspired by the packaging used by of dental bur suppliers. We modified it to help us keep our tools handy and easy to share between us without worrying about them falling out or misplacing them. You can see some of the labels we use. A label maker helps to find the burs even more easily. The holder comes for the 1/8th inch shank and the 3/32 shank. You can choose two of the same size or one of each.
The multiple bur holder comes either for the 3/32 shaft or 1/8th inch shaft. We sell them unlabeled in sets of two. You have three purchase options, two holders for either the 3/32 shaft, 1/8th inch shaft, or one of each. The holders are a handy way to organize similar tools together in a neat, stackable, transportable container. This helps you find them and share them around the shop easily. The handle also allows you to prop the holder up at an angle and the travel button locks the handle upright so that the burs don’t fall out. We are enjoying how easy it is to find and share our burs. We also label them for easier identification.
Sanding Strips
Coarse (30 micron or 750 grit) and Fine (9 micron or 1800 grit) sanding strips come in packs of 100 pieces in random widths (1mm-4mm).
If you are only going to buy one grit, in our experience, the coarse is much more useful and aggressive enough to finish casting surface textures, mold lines and seam lines. Also as the coarse wears down it becomes more like fine. The fine sanding strips are only useful if your surface is already smooth.
Thrumming Ribbon
Both wide and narrow thrumming thread comes at a length of 100 feet
Mini metal bending Plier
see Blog
Mini metal bending pliers in anodized aluminum and steel parts. The existing ring bending plier is a very useful tool for giving a consistent arc to a bracelet or shank that needs to be sized or made by hand. The existing version is available through jewelry tool distributors and has a 12mm center pin and is 7, 1/2 inches long. Our custom made plier you see here is a mini version of the ring bending plier. Ours has a 6mm center pin and is 4, 3/4 inches long. With such a tool the jeweler who seeks precision and speed in his work can consistently shape smaller arcs for bezels and other jewelry parts. Tools and the making of art is just plain good fun, but tools also need to be practical. If buying a tool saves you time, five minutes here, five minutes there, it adds up quickly and before you know it the tool is payed for.
